Shelly has 10 years experience in pediatric care. She has worked in all aspects of pediatric front desk and clinical duties and earned a position as our practice manager. She specializes in care coordination/advocating for our patients with special needs. Shelly was CCMA certified in 2021 at New River Community College and she received her ADOS-2 training through PNW Pediatric Therapy in 2022. She is a mother to a child on the spectrum and has a passion for all things autism and early intervention. She is also the National Pediatric Office Manager Lead for Privia Medical Group, and a board member of the Healthy Families Virginia and Parents as Teachers Advisory Committee.She has advocated for children’s services at the state level multiple times and advocates for patients in our practice with IEP and school concerns daily. Her approachable and genuine personality allow her to connect with the many families she supports so they know she truly cares about their children.
